ANFAA is an A*Midex Chair of Excellence research group, hosted by Aix-Marseille University, IDEAS.
We are a team of scholars and associated artists studying and incorporating new subversive narrative structures and audio-visual practices that could convey alternative ways of arranging, telling, feeling, and thinking about the world.
The scientific-artistic project of the Chair ANFAA is to envision beyond dominant, hegemonic narrative forms, by using multimodal apprehension - cinethnographic, sensorial, anthropological, photographic, artistic, sociological, textual, political, and poetical evocations... By doing so, we question the politics of normativity, colonization, and ethnocentrism implied in dominant audiovisual narrative structures.
