Jeff Silva is an artist, filmmaker, and anthropologist whose work connects creative practice with ethnographic research. He holds a Master of Fine Arts in the United States and a PhD in social anthropology from EHESS. He is currently an associate researcher at La Fabrique des Écritures Ethnographiques and a postdoctoral fellow of the AMidex ANFAA Chair.

Working across film, sound, and photography, Jeff Silva uses multimodal and collaborative methods to explore the sensory and historical traces of environmental and sociopolitical change. His films have been presented worldwide, including at MoMA, Visions du Réel, Doclisboa, and the Viennale.
